PETER BARENT LEWIS – CREATIVE CONSULTANT Peter Barent Lewis received his B.A. in Drama at the University in Seattle in 1987, studying under famed MFA Playwriting teacher Betty Comtois (play doctor for the original “The Música Man”). Right out of school he was a lead actor for the 1988 season for the esteemed classical theatre company American Players Theatre in Spring Green, Wisconsin under then Artistic Direct Penny Ochiogrosso. He then worked as an actor in regional theatre across the country, primarily in the Midwest and southeast, including stints at the Cumberland County Playhouse in Crossville, Tennessee, where he was also commissioned to create humorous and historical cabarets including a humorous historical peace on town life in “Crossville Suites”. He later wrote music and lyrics for songs in a new version of “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” performed at historic Cotton Hall in Colquitt, GA. He has been a freelance writer specializing in human interest and entertainment, and currently is working on projects begun by his writer mother Janet Hanson on the old silver mining town of Wallace, Idaho and a historical drama on the patron saint of Syracuse, Sicily “Santa Lucia”, who was martyred under the reign of Roman emperor Diocletian in 304 A.D. He looks to expand his skills in the creation of web related content and other new media, to “keep up with the times”!
