President Nancy P Mantero

Nancy (Nadia) E. Prokopiy Ukrainian Immigrant in the 1934 began as an expert seamstress for high quality mink coats, and became a costume designer for top theatres through Argentina including the famed Teatro Colon. Moving to the United States, she designed costumes for Metropolitan Opera in Los Angeles, with notable designs for “Rigoletto” and also for ballet and dance companies including for the iconic “Swan Lake”. Her business acumen led to ownership of Fedora, a critically acclaimed European Cuisine restaurant. She began collecting Ukrainian artifacts in 1977 for the proposed of display in a future, at Ukrainian museum.

  Nadia Prokopiy has been the recipient of special museum items from Kiev Museum and Lvov Cultural Museum in Ukraine, thanks to her special relationships with their curators accepting Donation of art culture of 14th-19th century

Mantero Made many trips to Carransas and Mexicali, for Evangelist, and downers and escorted Sacramento 19 vans of Ukrainians/Russians background, over 40 volunteers to El Basurero, where humans were eating leftovers of trash, Nancy attended to these places and contributed Prayers- food, clothing, Now Champion is participating and gifted many in recent years.
